Dr. Tami Recesso

Dr.Tami J. Recesso PT, DPT, MPT

Dr. Tami Recesso is originally from Massachusetts and currently resides in the beautiful state of New Hampshire. She is a mother of three boys, who are the loves of her life. Her favorite activities include exercising, doing yoga, and traveling with her family. Tami values finding balance in life, with spending time with loved ones always being her top priority.

A fun fact about Tami is that she was one of the American volunteers for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where she had the opportunity to work alongside some of the greatest medical professionals in the world. This experience shaped her career and gave her a firsthand understanding of the impact that quality medical care can have on both athletes and everyday individuals. Her passion for anatomy, physiology, and medicine, combined with her love for helping people, led her to pursue a career in physical therapy.

With over 30 years of experience in private practice, she is particularly passionate about manual therapy. As a spine specialist, she developed a simple yet highly effective technique that helps identify the source of pain and dysfunction in patients, often providing relief in as little as 90 seconds. Her approach enables individuals to live pain-free lives and return to daily activities without the need for injections, surgeries, opioids, or the medical runaround. Tami believes that everyone deserves to live a pain-free life, and her mission is to make that possible for as many people as she can.

Tami’s fascination with the human body – its anatomy and kinesiology – along with her interest in healthcare and medicine, drove her to become a physical therapist. She worked in the emergency room throughout high school and college, where she loved the excitement of being able to help people. During this time, she took an assessment to better understand what she truly loved, and physical therapy emerged as the path that resonated most with her. She began as a physical therapy assistant in 1995 and, after realizing how much she loved the field, she pursued further education. Tami earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, followed by a master’s in physical therapy, and ultimately a doctorate in physical therapy. She pursued these advanced degrees to gain more autonomy and to eventually open her own practice, where she could offer the high-quality care that her clients deserved. By opening her practice, she was able to create a space where every patient could receive the individualized care they needed to recover, thrive, and live their best lives.
